As a queer trans & non-binary person, I never know how inclusive a place is going to be, or how comfortable I will feel.  But everyone has really gone out of their way to make me feel right at home here.

I love training at Strength Ratio!  I had a lot of apprehension before walking in on my first day, but I was impressed by how welcoming everyone was.  As a queer trans & non-binary person, I never know how inclusive a place is going to be, or how comfortable I will feel.  But everyone has really gone out of their way to make me feel right at home here.

Becca, Kyle, and Zach are such great coaches.  They all give individualized and detailed instruction, constantly giving me feedback, patiently helping me to build solid technique so that I can prevent injury and be a better athlete from the start.  They are super knowledgable about what they do, and keep you motivated to get through each set.  I have learned so much from each of them, and feel really lucky to be under their wing.

There is a supportive community, here.  We cheer each other on, and want each other to meet our goals.  It gives you that warm, tender-heart kind of feeling. Also, basically the best dog there ever was, Cedar, hangs out here sometimes, and gives a ton of moral support and cute looks.

It’s fun to get stronger, and push your body to the limit.  It is really important for me to try to prevent injury, and train sustainably.  The programming at SR pushes me to my max, but it modulates, helping to prevent burnout.  I’m still learning about what my body can do, and how to match the self-care I need to recover.  It’s a fascinating investigation!

Starting the day with training at Strength Ratio has given me a major boost to my mood, mental clarity, and I just feel better.  Its also been a great way to explore changing my motivation and mental game, which helps me get through my day with more ease.  It’s made a huge positive impact on my life & I’ve made some friends who are solid gold. I’m so glad to be here with y’all!
